Funerals and Memorial Services

Whilst the loss of a loved one will always cause an enormous amount of emotion and grief, I am a firm believer that the life lived should be celebrated.

Funerals and memorial services enable a time of reflection and closure, a signalling almost that you are allowed to start the process of healing.  It is important to me … as a matter of respect …to be able to tell the story of the person who has passed and give them the honour of a fitting send off.

The two most difficult funeral services I have conducted in my life have been for my very much-loved Dad and fabulous father-in-law.  What made it possible for me to do these services was that I felt I got to know both these wonderful men even better than I already did through the telling of their story and the celebration of their lives.  It was also my final gift to them. 

A memorial service can be held anytime, any place and may be a way to provide some comfort or opportunity to celebrate the life of a loved one whose funeral you were not able to attend or to mark the passing on a loved one.

How does it work?

Each service will be unique and bespoke.

I will work closely with you to ensure that the story we tell is a true reflection of your loved one’s life.  I will be able to advise on different elements and inclusions for services so that we can tailor the service to meet your needs.  

As we get closer to the day, we will run through the logistics of the day.  My role will be to remove any stress from your day, ensure that everything flows smoothly and enable you to have the most loving and memorable day possible.  

The service will be tailored, memorable and delivered respectfully and from the heart – that is my commitment to you.
